The detail and outline of these intricate cast elderberry leaves is amazing. They are so thin and light that they presented quite a challenge to get them to cast. Luckily - a couple worked, and then I had the challenge of doing them justice.  The cast leaves floated around on my bench top for a while- until they eventually found their way to these hexagonal faceted rubies. When our elderberry is bursting forth with new growth in the spring, it is a deep purplish red - so, as they say in France, "Viola". To allow the cast leaves to really show off- I put them on a hoop that allows them to swing a little bit. Don't buy these if having strangers looking at your ears makes you uncomfortable.
