A beautiful variscite stone is bezel-set with a sprig of Douglas fir highlighting the beautiful pattern in the stone. The square band is cast from a palm frond.   Size 8.

Variscite is a rare stone found in Nevada and is sometimes mistaken for turquoise.  It has a greener color and beautiful lines run through it.   This one was cut by a friend and I love the gold veins and the square shape.
