Crepe myrtles are summer superstars—they love intense heat and sunshine. Their vibrant and colorful flowers will take your breath away. Once those blooms fade, though, there is still plenty to look at—if you lean in a bit closer. The seed pods of the crepe myrtle are also stunning; split open, they resemble little flowers themselves. Personally, I love the seed pods as much as the flowers!
 
I cast a crepe myrtle seed pod in sterling silver and hung it from sterling silver hinged loops. The addition of the hinges gives these earrings great movement. These earrings are eye-catching but easy and comfortable to wear.
