The Creosote Twig Bangle was created from a piece of the Creosote Tree that I picked up last winter in Death Valley.  I was so intrigued with the plants that grew in such a harsh landscape.    The more days I spent there, the more I saw in the subtlety of the plants there.  The colors and textures and the ways that the plants managed to survive intrigued me.   This bangle is lightweight and pairs beautifully with the other bangles in my Botanical Bangle Collection.  
 
The creosote bush is known for its ability to secure more water by inhibiting the growth of nearby plants.   The whole plant has an odor of creosote and  its smell is often associated with the smell of rain. I loved it for its knobby bark and twisted branches.
