I found this Peruvian Chrysacolla at the end of a long day of shopping for stones at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.  We wandered into this small booth and started talking to the lady in the booth.  I noticed a photo of her on the wall in mining gear and asked her about it.  She is one of the miners of these stones and is passionate about them.  I fell in love with this soft blue green stone with black lines running through.  It makes me think of a map of faraway places.  I paired it with a 3mm black spinel set in 14k gold with a little gold dot nestled in between.  The split band is cast from palm tree fronds.
