Douglas Fir trees are everywhere in the Pacific Northwest.  On the coast, they commonly live at least 500 years. They are often planted in reforestation efforts throughout the region—and for good reason, they’re hardy and lovely evergreens. I found these sprigs without needles and loved the knobby texture.

I cast the Douglas Fir sprigs in sterling silver. The intricate detail of the Douglas fir sprig makes them catch light in interesting, unusual ways, and the shape is flattering against the neck. These earrings are incredibly comfortable. I’ve even worn them running!
