These flat stones were so fun to collect on a raw west coast beach. They just plain feel good in your fingers. It took me a long time to figure out how to do these beauties justice in a piece of jewelry. It finally came to me early one morning - when I saw how they layered and overlapped on the bench. I've seen stones sorted in this way on beaches and in rivers after the water has arranged them by some organic natural force. I've drilled and riveted these stones to reflect the beauty and simplicity of natural order. To keep the focus on the stones, I used a leather thong and made curved hooks to allow you to easily clasp this around your neck. It feels kind of like a breast plate of stone armor to protect your soul - while being amazing light and comforting. This is one of those that is hard to release into the world. Cherish it.
