Faceted Vesuvianite stones are bezel-set on textured silver plates. Beneath the stones dangle lady fern fronds cast in sterling silver.
Vesuvianite is so named because it was first discovered on Mt. Vesuvius. Lady ferns are known for their feathery, lace-like fronds that sway gracefully in the breeze. They thrive in shady woodlands and shade gardens. Lady ferns appear delicate but are quite hardy.
The Woodland Collection celebrates the richness of life in the coastal forest that I frequent, and the thrill of discovering new plants that thrive in this climate. Since moving to the Washington coast, I’ve been taking daily walks through the woods, admiring the abundance of ferns, old growth cedars, and Douglas-firs. And I’ve had so much fun adding plants to my garden that I’ve never been able to grow before. For me, this collection is about the joy of discovery—walking outside and looking around with curiosity and fresh eyes.
