Cast rhododendron seed pods dangle below a prong set ruby and raw black tourmaline.  The black tourmaline is set in a bezel with prongs.  The chain is a unique hand made wire and bar design. This necklace brings to mind the rich color of the blossoms on these amazing forest plants just as they are about to pop open; as sure a sign of spring as there ever was. One of my favorite parts of living on the Olympic Peninsula is hiking or running the trails while the wild Rhododendron are blooming, or discovering their unique seedpods after the flowers have bloomed.
