If you’ve ever stopped to listen to the breeze softly whistling through a cedar tree, you know why I was inspired to make this piece. Cedars are hardy trees with strong roots that can live hundreds of years. You’ll often find them in blustery places; their strong roots anchor them against powerful winds. And together they make a soft, quiet music.
I collected the cedar sprigs and pinecones from Larrabee State Park in Washington. I cast the cedar sprigs and cedar cones in sterling silver and then fabricated them together into a pendant. This unusual, eye-catching pendant is one-of-a-kind. It pairs perfectly with the Larrabee posts.
