Nature Reimagined

From seedpods to sea urchin, from bark to blossoms, April creates jewelry that allows you
to connect with and keep nature close at all times.

Handmade in Port Townsend,WA

Budding Forth

My inspiration has led to a lot of experimenting in the studio with new botanical castings, fabricated shapes and textures, and some amazing stones. Raw and faceted rubies, sapphires, kyanite and labradorite are paired with a cast orchid, intricately detailed leaves and buds, and so much more in this new collection.

Do you end your beach walks with a few special pieces of stone rattling around in your pockets? If you are a collector of beach stones and want to make these special pieces of our planet into wearable art, this class is for you. Teaching artist April Ottey will teach you the techniques needed to turn your favorite stones into beautiful pendants or earrings you can be proud of. Not to worry if you don’t have the perfect beach stone around already – April will have a plentiful assortment for you to choose from. In this two-day class, April will teach you how to design your piece, drill rocks, create cold connections (riveting), form and texture metal, and how to make your own jump rings to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.
